COLONEL SVERKER ULVING

Colonel Sverker Ulving is an officer in the Swedish military. He is also a Gunsite graduate and this is his story about his Scout Rifle, which was built at Gunsite.

 

 

COUSIN BONGO

Cousin Bongo is an alias for a friend of Jeff Cooper and the Cooper family. He is an Orange Gunsite graduate who trained under Cooper with the rifle and pistol and is considered by many to be a great resource on Scout Rifles. You can reach him under his shadowy name at www.scoutrifle.org. This is his story about a pseudo-Scout Rifle he created.

 

 

NICK RUKAVINA

Nick Rukavina has attended multiple course at Gunsite to include the Advanced Scout Rifle Course. He was also the highest placing shooter – not counting the engineer from Steyr – at the 2016 Scout Rifle Conference. His story is about his introduction and interaction with the Scout Rifle as well as some general thoughts on the subject.

 

JOHN MARKWELL

John is a native West Virginian who has been a rock climbing and firearms instructor. John is an avid shooter and a founder of one of the most prestigious sniper rifle competitions in the Untied States – The Allegheny Sniper Challenge. Markwell trained with Cooper at Gunsite during the formative years of the Scout Rifle Concept.

 

 

STEVEN TRACY

Steven Tracy is a former law enforcement officer who currently works as a firearms journalist. He was inspired by Jeff Cooper’s Scout Rifle concept so much that he created a lever-scout using a Marlin 336.

 

 

MICHAEL BRADY – SPRINGFIELD SCOUT

Michael Brady is a Gunsite Academy graduate and this is his story about a pseudo-scout built on a 1903 Springfield. Brady is an active member at the Scout Rifle discussion forum www.scoutrifle.org. His Shadowy Elite handle is “MichaelB.”
